For 8 minutes and 46 seconds I held my breath and when I exhaled I wasn't the same. All the pain of hate and racist acts I've ever experienced came rushing, no flooding out with sobs and heart wrenching pain. Once the heartbreak dulled I started talking and I haven't stopped since.
